Job Description : Description
Industrial Laboratories is an independent third-party analytical testing laboratory with an emphasis on drug testing services for racehorses, sled dogs and livestock. We are searching for a full-time experienced LCMS Chemist to join our Drug Testing Services team in our newly renovated facility.
Experienced LCMS Chemist responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Perform sample preparation utilizing liquid-liquid and solid phase extraction techniques for animal blood, hair, and urine samples.
Conduct analysis of samples using HPLC/MS/MS, QTOF/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS instrumentation
Prepare of reference standards and quality control solutions utilizing basic and complex chemistry calculations.
Interpret and evaluate analytical data from various instrumentation (HPLC/MS/MS, QTOF/MS, GC/MS, and ICP/MS)
Trouble-shoot and conduct routine maintenance on various instrumentation.
Participate in method development and validation studies.
Adhere to and follow all regulatory agency and quality assurance requirements.

Requirements of the Position

Must be able to work with animal blood, urine, and non-biological matrices.
Possess solid scientific, computer, and organizational skills.
Be detailed oriented, can think logically, and possess good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as be a self-starter, keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a positive attitude towards learning new techniques.
Must be able to follow all company policies including all regulatory agency and quality assurance requirements to meet client expectations

Minimum Qualifications

Must have experience in the application of LC-MS/MS for compound identification and accurate mass determination is essential.
Experience in a laboratory setting and possession of basic laboratory skills is required.
3-5 years of instrumentation and laboratory experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or other directly related field is required.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and must be Covid vaccinated.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, but occasional overtime and weekend shifts may be required. No relocation benefits are available with this position so applicants currently living around the Denver, CO area are encouraged to apply.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
