Job Description : General Responsibilities Develops an effective instructional program to support individual student needs and varying disabilities using a continuum of service delivery models. Essential Job Functions: * Facilitates the functioning of a K-5 Learning Support Team. * Plans with classroom teachers regarding services. * Provides individual and small group instruction in and out of classroom. * Coordinates and facilitates parent involvement and participation including parent notification of program services. * Plans and implements, in collaboration with teachers and parents Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for children with varying disabilities. * Cooperates with teaching staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Monitors and assesses student progress and communicates on a regular basis to teachers, parents and students. * Documents and maintains records of meetings, ILP’s, and progress. * Assists teachers in providing accommodations. * Provides information regarding needed accommodations. * Serves as a resource to teachers for curriculum, instruction, and instructional strategies.
