Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
Cultural Data Analyst/Researcher is responsible for appraising, processing, cataloging, and preserving permanent records and historically valuable documents (i.e., manuscripts, electronic records, websites, photographs, maps, videos, or sound recordings). This individual coordinates educational and public outreach programs, such as tours, lectures, and classes. The Cultural Researcher/Data Analyst also works with researchers and members of the curriculum development team on topics and items relevant to the collection.
Life’s Language Lodge will build a strong language learning foundation through hands on sensory experiences, intentional and meaningful curriculum activities, and skill building in all areas of child development.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Authenticate and appraise historical documents and archival materials.
Coordinates educational and public outreach programs
Preserve and maintain documents and objects.
Create and manage a system to maintain and preserve electronic records.
Organize and classify archival materials.
Safeguard records by creating film and digital copies.
Direct workers to help arrange, exhibit, and maintain collections.
Set and administer policy guidelines concerning public access to materials.
Find and acquire new materials for their archives.
Identify Sensitive Cultural Materials
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS:
Commitment to the mission, vision, and core values.
Create and maintain strong cooperative relationships and work cohesively with classroom team, other staff, parents/guardians, and volunteers.
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, curriculum planning and thinking.
Ability to work remotely.
Be available as early as 6:00 am and as late as 6:30 pm
Be student service orientated and self-driven.
Possess a strong work ethic and have minimal absences.
Be a professional, positive role model for all employees and children.
Assist in classrooms, to demonstrate or model proven and effective delivery of technological curriculum when necessary.
Be comfortable with computers and learning new software.
Provide general support to the Administrators. (Executive Director, Curriculum Director, Program Director, Assistant Director, and Program Coordinator).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or higher in related field. (Bachelor’s Preferred)
Be certified in CPR, First Aid, and Blood-Borne Pathogens or obtain certification upon hire.
Complete a Tuberculosis test and physical and provide a physician’s documentation of both.
Submit various background checks.
Must be fingerprinted for further background examination.
Have a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record. Provide a copy of the driving record to be included in personnel file. A driver’s record may be requested at various times. Failure to provide requested information may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Proficient in various technological platforms.
Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidential records.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel will be required for Professional Development, conferences, trainings, and meetings as a representative of Life’s Language Lodge and IMDG.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull and carry up to 70lbs.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
