Position : Logistics Specialist
Job Description : The Logistic Specialist sources, procures, receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. Performs all related documentation and recordkeeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Fields incoming phone calls from customers, route specialists and service technicians relative to products.
Assists with general phone duties during peak traffic periods.
Assists with manning of service counter as requested by supervisor.
Handles incoming UPS shipments including receiving and stocking and required data entry.
Assists with cycle counts as required.
Cover employee vacations and days off as requested by supervisor.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Assembles customer orders from stock and prepares orders to be picked up or delivered.
Marks materials with identifying information and labels.
Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Sweeps warehouse, dust and clean inventory shelves as needed.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Uses computer to enter records and maintain pricing updates.
Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to dairies or to pick up items from vendors for shipment or internal use as required.
Completes requisition forms and orders supplies and parts as required
Prepares parcels and pallets for mailing or shipment.
Responsible for coordinating product returns with vendors.
Qualifications:
Must have strong computer skills to work with inventory software.
Must be able to list and or move up to 100lbs frequently and over a 100lbs occasionally.
Must be able to read and interpret documents and instrucitons. Must be able to write routine reports and communicate professionally with customers and staff.
Able to provide excellent customer service
Able to problem solve and work independently in a timely fashion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
