We are a market leader in value added services for specialty steel and customers can rely on well-established services that have frequently set the standards with their innovation and top quality.We are now searching for a Maintenance Technician to work at our Mississauga, ON facility.Duties: :Machine preventative maintenance schedule, implementation and followFabrication of various industrial racks / tables / bracketsDevelop a coolant change schedule and ensuring proper concentrations throughout plantMaintaining spare parts list and having consumables on handAdopt a TPM system where operators are involved in minor maintenanceDeveloping a visual system to let people know when machines are in serviceAdvising operations support to purchase machine consumables and partsMachine cleanliness both inside and outWorking alongside production manager to schedule down timeEnsure all machines are in safe working order at all timesCalling in 3rdparty contractors as requiredDeveloping a preferred pricing from all maintenance suppliers / contractorsQuality and performance of machinery is kept up to required standardMinimizing machine down time and total spend on repairsCreating maintenance checklists for all equipment and updating as requiredRequesting disposal companies for waste oil and coolants to be called inFilling out service reports to keep logs of previous repairsOther duties as assignedExperience: Previous maintenance experienceMust have background working with band saws and CNC milling machines or equivalent systemsFamiliar with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systemsWilling to work some weekends and overtime, possibly other shifts (afternoon, midnight)Available for further training and career development as required by employerMust have basic tools to perform jobs and/or some will be provided by employerPrevious fabrication / mill wright experience in an industrial setting an assetBasic PLC / control logic knowledge and ability to read ladder diagrams and schematicsIn return for your experience and skills, we are offering:An hourly rate of $30.00 – $35.00A full benefits packageThe opportunity to utilize the full scope of your abilitiesOpportunity for growth within the companyJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $30.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:Dental careLife insurancePaid time offVision careSchedule:8 hour shift
