Position : Manager of Human Resources
Job Description : PCM is looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team!
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University or 5 years of progressive HR experience in lieu of degree
PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
Healthcare experience preferred.
Current knowledge of state and federal employment laws including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, ADA and EEO.
Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization.
Proficient knowledge and experience with employee benefits, regulations (healthcare reform, COBRA), including but not limited to medical, dental benefits, retirement plans, disability, life insurance, FMLA, ADA, unemployment insurance.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written), documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of HRIS and Payroll systems.
Highly effective manager of others:
Interviews, hires, on boards and engages new employees.
Fosters teamwork.
Mentors, coaches and develops direct reports.
Establishes goals and performance expectations, measures result and provides performance feedback.
Participates in disciplinary actions and employment termination when needed.
Effectively assigns and delegates work and creates clear agreements for completion of work assignments.
Provides input on compensation and recognition for direct reports.
Strong record of consistently delivering results.
Understanding, monitoring, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize and present human resources data and statistics.
Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability
Actively engages with leaders and managers to gain a strong understanding of the business.
Partner with Senior HR Director to identify organizational challenges and opportunities.
Monitor HR practices and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
Provide input into HR strategy, policy and programs for the Company. The major areas covered are orientation, employee relations, benefits, and employee services.
Oversee and guide resolution on a variety of complex employee relations matters including disciplinary actions and investigations.
Determine and recommend employee relations best practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
Oversees a team of HR professionals, providing coaching and feedback to elevate individual and team performance.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, federal and state employment legislation and developing effective policies and procedures to ensure company compliance.
Provide input and assist in implementing best practice approaches related to wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance review programs, employee benefit programs and services.
Implement systems to monitor department performance and assure compliance with company policies and identified regulatory bodies.
Initiate “best practices” for Human Resources Department and implements process improvements as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
