To help our clients remain competitive and successful, we provide the innovative technologies they need to serve their growing base of members, customers, and merchants.The OpportunityReporting to General Manager, Technology Delivery, the Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring our organizations products and services solutions meet quality standards before going to market.The Quality Assurance Manager provides strong leadership to the team through communication, guidance, motivation, coaching and development, and works collaboratively across functional teams to meet corporate objectives and client needs while supporting and enhancing the core business. The Manager also identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities for increased effectiveness & efficiency within the group.Responsibilities · Provide leadership by growing team expertise to align with demands and our business and technology direction; assess team capabilities, identify ways to provide and enhance value delivered· Own the Quality Assurance of the solutions layers of the software stack and be the champion to deliver a quality experience· Responsible for recruitment, motivation, development, and performance management of staff· Implement and report on quality management KPIs and contribute to lessons learned by looking at the quality of work· Lead as a subject matter expert on areas within QA methodology, processes, testing methods, quality management, and best practices providing training and industry leading resources to all team members· Implement plans, set priorities, and allocate resources to achieve goal.· Align Everlink’s business strategy with the department/division’s strategy· Participate in department/division planning· Identify and remove barriers within IT and between other areas to facilitate rapid identification, communication, and resolution of issues· Liaise directly with senior management of Everlink and/or business line management/third parties to clarify project objectives, deliverables, and timelines· Define and ensure compliance to standards, procedures, and methodologies under the appropriate guidelines· Continually refine all appropriate standards, techniques, and practices· Ensure plans, strategies and daily activities are executed to meet internal and external standards· Evaluate core operational and delivery processes and develop and measure key initiatives for process improvements and efficiencies to attain/exceeds applicable service levels as per operating agreements.Professional RequirementsAbility to establish credibility and be decisive – but able to recognize and support Everlink’s preferences and prioritiesDemonstrated competence in best-practices process definition, implementation, and oversightPrior experience influencing cross-functional teams without formal authorityEffective interpersonal, communication and leadership skillsA post-secondary degree in an area of work related to assigned dutiesExperience · Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership or management role· Must have 6-10 years of IT testing experience· Ability to manage multiple testing teams for functions/projects with increasing degree of complexity and broad scope (e.g., multi-function within line of business, 2-5 projects/initiatives)· Strength in coordinating and prioritizing multiple testing initiatives and championing test activity optimization across projects· Ability to manage the development and implementation of new testing strategies and directives· Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools· Knowledge of any well-known software development and testing life-cycle methodology· Experience in orchestrating development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement· Strength in coordinating and prioritizing multiple testing initiatives and championing test activity optimization across projects· Excellent teamwork and team building skills with a proven ability to delegate· Ability to communicate complex technical information to various parties including non-technical members of the organization· High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts· Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written· Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influencePersonal CharacteristicsYou also have strong interpersonal and communication skills and can build professional business relations within, and outside the organization.
