Founded in 1962, the mission of KOA is “connecting people to the outdoors and each other,” and those who represent the brand share the values of being family-oriented, passionate, entrepreneurial, customer-focused and progressive.REPORTS TO Director of MarketingGENERAL DUTIES Provides local marketing consultation for KOA campgrounds, including building and implementing marketing co-op programs for greater revenue growth. The role will assist with marketing plans to improve campground profitability in correlation with the Best-Park-in-Market program. The role will act as a liaison between Marketing and Franchise Services to learn, build and grow local efforts across Kampgrounds of America, Inc. The Marketing Development Specialist is a key role in the KOA marketing department and will need a multi- faceted skillset including: creative and brand management, digital marketing, email marketing, public relations, business strategy, media buying, market analysis, agency management and campaign management.SPECIFIC DUTIES Strategic Team Member: Act as an integrated member of the strategic marketing team.Marketing Analysis: Utilize available reports within K2, Google Analytics, CMS and other 3rd party sites to assist and support a data-driven approach to local initiatives.Marketing Planning & Execution: Assist Marketing Director with development of marketing plans, programs, both short and long term, that are impactful and agile through regular pre-defined strategic goals tracked through quarterly benchmarks. Key owner and lead for campgrounds entering into theKOA system.Marketing Consulting: Take national marketing programs and strategies and adapt to individual campgrounds based on campground market. Highlight and act on business needs . Relationship Management: Serve as the first point of contact for marketing support questions stemming from our campgrounds. Effectively communicates and collects information to and from many sources including vendors, campgrounds, managers, agencies and freelancers to deliver optimal responses and solutions in a timely manner.Training & Education: Prepare and present educational and training materials to campground owners.Marketing Co-op Programs: Ownership of growth and use of marketing co-ops as well as training, implementation and strategy of marketing co-ops to the system.Budget Management: Manage and be accountable for projects and budget lines assigned by marketing leadership.Support Partner Activation: Act as the marketing lead for KOA national partner activations onsite at local campgrounds.Monitoring & Measurement : Ability to monitor and measure local marketing programs and provide monthly reporting metrics to leadership teams.Other: This job description is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities. Strong presentation skill required.5 years+ of Marketing or related work experience, specifically in a strategic role.Ability to juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines under minimal supervision in a fast-paced result driven environment.Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a strategic capacity (big picture perspective, asks ‘why’) and a hands-on/execution capacity (detail-oriented, deadline-driven.)Works well in a team environment and enjoys collaboration.Must have technical aptitude with following programs Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative SuiteHas a valid driver’s license.Agrees to a background check.Kampgrounds Of America, INC. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and strives to provide an environment where all employees and applicants are treated with respect.
