We are currently looking for a highly motivated and technically sound Engineering Manager who feels the same.Plus, we offer a compensation structure like no other:Competitive salaryA comprehensive benefits package including RRSP contribution matchingCoaching and mentoring opportunities leading to real growthAn unparalleled working environment and company cultureUnder the supervision of the Plant Manager, the position is responsible for the execution CleanRiver’s materials management, inventory and for overseeing the responsibilities of the purchasing team.This role includes the development and implementation of effective facility-wide Production Planning & Inventory Control activities to support material flow and on-time delivery, ensuring a consistent supply of products for the company.Key Responsibilities: · Assist the Plant Manager with supervising, training, motivating, coaching, and monitoring the performance of direct reports· Lead MRP, Material Handling, Packaging, and Receiving· Develop and monitor departmental goals and objectives aiming to continuously improve work processes· Investigate and respond to production/purchasing staff requests, complaints, and/or issues in a timely manner· Collaborate with Operational Management to optimize production planning, detail scheduling and material replenishment process for balancing optimal inventory levels with customer availability and market leading lead times· Manage supply chain and key supplier’s relationships· Implement defined replenishment strategies within Seradex ERP system· Work closely with the Production Supervisors on BOM audit as part of WO creation and completion. Ensure all scrap are capture in WO before completion· Own and Drive efforts to continuously review and improve inventory accuracy and cycle counting programs· Champion lean activity in direct support and relationship to facility lean direction and business needs· Develop purchasing strategies to ensure consistent inventory and monitor inventory to determine what products are needed· Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and monitors the performance of JIT delivery programs with vendors· Negotiate vendor contracts· Determine quantity and timing of deliveries, check deliveries for accuracy· Establish standard operating procedures for purchasing/material management and monitor the effectiveness of procedures· Drive YOY materials cost reductions, inventory accuracy improvements, & on-time performance· Participate in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Quality and Operations Planning sessions, and contribute to the development of operations plans to support organizational goals· Advise the Purchasing Production Coordinator on the production plan to ensure accurate and timely available materialRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree, required in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related fieldA minimum of 3 years of supply chain/materials/procurement management experience in manufacturing environment.Minimum of 1 years of Supervisory or Lead experienceAPICS or PMAC Certification preferredKnowledge of product costing, budget planning, make/buy analysisMust have previous experience using MRP systems and be knowledgeable in routings and BOM applications, Seradex will be a plusProficient utilization of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPointSuperior verbal and written communication skillsExceptional interpersonal skillsWe thank you for your interest in our position!
