Position : Materials Manager and Purchasing Agent
Job Description : Stable Lasers Systems builds frequency stabilized laser systems. We need to improve our system of Material Requirement Planning from end to end. Many of our laser system builds are standardized, though a large fraction are custom orders for which we purchase materials useful to that job alone.
Lead existing team to develop and implement an improved and comprehensive system for ordering and controlling materials, with the following functions:
Receipt of customer purchase orders and trigger of build for standard and custom builds
Receive/develop requisition of required materials
Creation of purchase order for materials and track expected delivery dates, and supervise receiving and stocking of material against the PO
Upgrade system for tracking material issued to production
Travelers to accounting for invoicing and recognition of material cost of goods sold
Establish plant areas for material control, develop system of material distribution, control materials, and train and supervise personnel in material control. Control of Work-In-Process.
In QuickBooks: Sales order to purchasing materials and populating inventory, receiving, use in production.
Assist in selection and implementation of additional digital means for improvement of material control.
Qualifications:
1. 8-years of experience or college degree + 4 years
2. Experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and purchasing and tracking material flow.
3. Desirable to have experience in optical hardware building environment or engineering background.
4. Some experience with QuickBooks Enterprise would be desirable, or at least familiarity with integrated software systems.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and skill to work well with others is essential.
Mandatory: US citizenship.

Pay: $30.00 – $55.00 per hour
