In this role, you have the opportunity to
Mechanical Engineer in the Supplier Transfer Excellence Team provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to improving the Philips supply chain. You are responsible for
Mechanical design and design changes of a module/sub system/ system
Plastics components/sub-assemblies design and development
Conduct DFM, DFA reviews with suppliers for Plastics components/sub assemblies
Creating 3D models, assembly and detailing including drawing conversions
Identifying the suitable materials for designs and creating and releasing BOM
Performing hand calculations for the design feasibility
Excellent knowledge in Plastics parts design & development
Excellent Knowledge on Plastics processes like Injection molding, rubber molding, Compression molding, Thermoforming & Resign Molding
Excellent knowledge on Rapid proto tying and tooling
Apply GD&T and perform Tolerance stack -up analysis for components/sub system
DFM and DFA activities and optimization of design for cost reduction
DFMEA and identify relevant product risks
Shall have hands-on experience in Engineering Change management
Work with supplier, procurement engineer to complete the prototype
Requirements Design, implementation test and integration of his/her unit in accordance with higher level requirement and design specifications/architectures
Reliability and serviceability of the system/sub system/component
Complying to all applicable medical standards / regulations such as ISO and FDA
Working closely with all other team members both R&D team members (like service, quality, regulatory, marketing, clinical, etc) for projects
Provide technical support to suppliers & other departments to fulfill project/production needs
Support localization activities
Knowledge of IEC 6061, ASTM, ANSI, GD&T standards are preferred

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering/Automobile /Industrial
Min 7 to 10 years of experience in design and development of complex electromechanical products
9+ years of relevant experience in Plastics design and development (on end-to-end Medical device esp. or equivalent Automobile/Industrial products)
Fast learner and interest to learn new technologies/business/system
System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
Excellent communication skills & Team player
Mindset to simplify and reach to solutions with speed
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
Strong English written and verbal communication skills required
Strong knowledge on Mold flow analysis, Ansys and other FAE tools
Tool designers from NTTF, GTTC, CIPET & IGTR and product designers from NTTF are preferred
