Position : Mountain Mentors Program Coordinator – Youth & Family Services
Job Description : Summit County Youth and Family Services is looking for a Program Coordinator for the Mountain Mentors Program to: be a part of the Mountain Mentors staff in matching local youth with responsible adult volunteers; collaborate with other community agencies; and advocate for youth and families in the program. This Coordinator will: promote programs county-wide; interview volunteers and families; complete matches; monitor relationships; conduct volunteer trainings and new student/family information nights; plan and participate in 2-3 group activities per month; organize fundraising; collaborate with other organizations; market and promote all aspects of the of the program; facilitate the teen drop-in 2 days per week; attend staff meetings and related training for professional growth; assist in writing grant applications; and assist with other program activities as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Degree (Associates or BS, BA, etc.) in related field (Youth development, recreation, social work, teaching, sociology, etc.) • Four years’ experience working with youth and/or their families. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • Effective communication skills and ability relating with others • Ability to use time and resources effectively to meet job requirements • Valid Colorado Driver’s License at the time of appointment and throughout employment
