Job Description : MTCC VISTA Leader – Montana Campus Compact Network Office
Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) serves as the intermediary for AmeriCorps VISTA projects. MTCC is a CEO-led coalition of colleges and universities that support civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across the state. Every year we place cohorts of full-time, part-time, and summer AmeriCorps members with schools, colleges, nonprofits, and government agencies in Montana. The AmeriCorps projects we facilitate increase educational equity, break down barriers between higher education and community organizations, and address the root causes of poverty in communities across the state.
Member Duties : The MTCC AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will serve at Montana Campus Compact network office providing support services for AmeriCorps VISTA members throughout the state, planning and executing training opportunities for AmeriCorps members and service projects in Missoula, and utilizing social media and local media outlets to highlight the work of the MTCC AmeriCorps VISTA program in Montana. The leader will assist with planning training opportunities for AmeriCorps members and assist with and participate in host site visits throughout the state. The VISTA Leader will support MTCC initiatives such as the Dennison Civic Engagement Scholarships. To be considered for the MTCC VISTA Leader applicants must have completed a full term of AmeriCorps service prior to serving as VISTA Leader.
