Job Description : Provide comprehensive municipal lobbying services for Capitol Consulting client. Specific duties will encompass a variety of lobbying functions with the primary focus of creating opportunities for new rental housing development and reducing regulatory barriers for new construction. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are paramount. Job duties may include:

Meet with local elected officials and key municipal staff regularly to establish and develop positive working relationships.
Conduct research on a variety of issues affecting real estate development as directed.
Develop research documents and whitepapers as directed.
Assist with the coordination of semi-annual or quarterly real estate developer forums to include policy makers and rental housing developers.
Maintain list of active issues and dates of upcoming meetings related to issues
Track municipal elections and meet with incumbents and candidates prior to the election. Provide recommendations regarding endorsements of elected officials.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
