Responsibilities
At Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health, social and support services in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. As part of our team, you will provide clinical expertise, support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. You will have the opportunity to champion the change by joining in our mission of healing through humankindness. Being a Staff Nurse in Endoscopy you wll have the responsibility of assessing patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. In addition, you will provide professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. This role requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served as well having a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee will support the organization’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.
St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center’s Endoscopy Unit is committed to the highest level of patient satisfaction. The unit features the most up-to-date endoscopic technologies, and we provide inpatient and outpatient care to patients of all ages. Our GI and pulmonary lab with four endoscopy suites and a Heartburn Center provide our patients with a full spectrum of services.
Located in Phoenix, AZ, this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph’s Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

Qualifications
Minimum:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State in good standing
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Basic computer skills
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification ( in monitored areas)
Preferred:
3+ yrs experience in Endoscopy, PACU/Recovery, or ICU
One year recent acute care experience preferred
Professional certification area of specialty
BSN
