Maxar is currently seeking an Operations Analyst to join our team in Longmont, CO.

Your Project: In this role, you will be part of our Space Operations team and will be a process owner for performance monitoring, analytics and tactical oversight over execution related to production fulfillment for core programs. What you’ll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

Advise and recommend options to manage and improve Concept of Operations (CONOP)-related processes in coordination with tactical teams

Direct coordination expected with tactical teams to organize and represent development/enhancement priorities to technical support teams

Support Program and Project Managers to coordinate and drive priorities for operational execution

Forecast analysis and feasibility for program related product demands (generally global or regional)

Monitor global production performance and observed/reported system behaviors that could affect operational plans. Escalate and prioritize incident handling to the appropriate support teams as needed. Ensure risks are communicated to stakeholders

Operational Subject Matter Expert (SME) for program related system requirement prioritization/development

Actively participate in external customer collaboration in support of shared process, mission and system objectives

Minimum requirements for this position:

Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance

Bachelor’s degree in geography, remote sensing, GIS, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree

Minimum of 2 year of experience in relevant field

These skills would be amazing:

Strong application of Geographic Information Systems software including ArcGIS or other image processing and photogrammetric tools

Basic understanding of commercial imagery, imagery triangulation and ortho-mosaic production

Basic understanding of Digital Elevation Models and their effects on ortho-imagery generation

Demonstrated experience with process improvement and optimization using scripts

Knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office suite

Experience in project and task management

Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products

The Compensation range for this position is $ 54,000 to $ 90,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience.
