Position : Packer – $150 90-Day Employment Reward
Job Description : Mission Foods is a growing part of a much larger, multinational organization, Gruma Corporation and its parent company, GRUMA S.A. de C.V.
Shifts Available
2nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 6:00am
(Shift Differential Pay Available for 2nd & 3rd Shift Positions)
A packer is responsible for the proper hand-packaging of quality corn or flour tortillas and/or fried products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for following Good Manufacturing Practices, especially good hand-washing practices.
Hand package corn or flour tortillas and/or fried products.
Look at stacker mirror at all times to watch for tortilla and or fried product jams.
Check the appearance and quality of tortillas/fried product.
Check bags to make sure proper packaging is being used.
Ensure catch-pan is cleaned constantly.
Inspect tortillas/fried product to assure they are free of foreign materials or contamination.
Maintain rework containers closed.
Rework the tortillas/fried product according to their formula.
Keep work area clean.
Report to work on-time to relieve the previous shift.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Must know how to read, write, add and subtract
Able to work flexible schedule and weekends
Able to stand for long periods of time
Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
