Job Description : Kruger Products LP manufactures and distributes high quality, cost-effective product solutions to a wide range of commercial and public entities. Through warehouse clubs, food-services, wholesale distributors and janitorial-supply companies, AFH supplies quality paper-based solutions to accommodate, food service, property management and healthcare sectors.POSITION SUMMARYTo ensure the safe, efficient operating, cleaning of and running of the junior dispensers, low-fold and # 12 and 13 luncheon lines. Alternatively, work as a secondary operator on lines: 3, 18, 19, 26, 30; packing off, while maintaining a clean and organized work space.REPORTING: The Packer reports directly to the Shift Supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES: Remove finished products off the machine, visually inspect for quality and quantity, place poly over finished products then pack finished products into prescribed boxRecord production numbers (case count) and any downtime for the production line, and be aware of how this compares with daily targetsProduce product with an emphasis on quality; completing all assigned quality checks and taking special care when bagging napkinsCommunicate with Service Operators and/or Mechanics when machine is down or changeovers are requiredKeep record of items packed and attach to production order with last item packedReport discrepancies to supervisorKeep the work area clean and deposit waste bins at the baler operator’s station when full and at the end of each shift; clean up packaging line and floor area during downtimeAdhere to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulationsUse all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses / goggles, etc.Participate in training and cross training improvement initiatives including health and safety and quality improvementPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GEDMust be able to work continental shift (12 hours rotating shift)Must be able to pass a criminal background checkAbility to keep up with a moderate-speed conveyor lineAbility to work in a team environmentCommitted to safety & organizational goalsA record of stable & continuous employmentProfessional communication skillsSelf-motivated able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to stand for continuous periods of timeAbility to work in a hot, humid, noisy and high volume machine production areaAbility and willingness to work safely and wear PPE as requiredPrevious manufacturing work experience is an assetDemonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow production scheduleHighly punctualKruger Products is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
