Job Description : REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPINGDUTIES: Cleaning of the guest rooms to standard as assignedPerforming very physical labourAnswering guest requestsProviding excellent customer service as per the standards of the HotelQUALIFICATIONS: Good command of the English language is essential, both written and verbalMust be neat, professional and well groomedAt least 1 to 2 years previous experience within a Hotel Housekeeping departmentMust possess good organizational /time management skillsMust be a self motivator – work with little supervisionMust be able to work in a fast paced environmentMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be in good physical condition, frequent pushing/pulling/reaching/stooping/handling and gripping is requiredMust be able to lift up to 20 lbs / 9 kgLifting above the shoulder is also requiredPositive attitude and outgoing personality is essentialAdditional languages spoken would be an assetMust be able to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidaysRoom Attendant Physical RequirementsFrequent standing and walking between various areas in guest room, up to 25ft in distanceOccasional reaching above shoulder when cleaning high areasFrequent waist to shoulder movement when cleaning between waist and shoulder height, pushing/pulling vacuum 44” handle ht, push/pull cart 40” handle ht.Constant unilateral and bilateral handling and gripping of various cleaning productsOccasionally uses finger manipulation when cleaning into corners, detailing, folding, etc.Able to squat/crouch while reaching to access and clean low levels to floor and stoop frequentlyAbility to lift above shoulder when removing/replacing linens to 70” ht. Avg. weight 1.2lbsFrequent waist to shoulder and floor to waist lifting of cleaning tools with avg. weight of 1.2lbsWill carry various items up to 25ft with range of weight from negligible up to 10lbsAbility to regularly push/pull vacuum of (44”ht) 8.0-10.2lbs of force and pushing/pulling of cart between rooms, up to 25 ft, 26.9lbs peak force, 11.2lbs sustained force.
