Job Description : Our company consists of several different artisan arrangements with multiple locations, including an award-winning gastro pub, a newly constructed modern taproom focusing on barrel-aged beverages with a savory Latin twist menu, a bakery + coffeehouse, and an American style farm to table restaurant.

Our ambition is to continue building a team of forward-thinking people who love what they do, who are consistently dedicated to their craft and want nothing more than to provide the best product possible to our community. Our team will have the unique opportunity to work as a unit running multiple venues and creating various innovative product types from savory pastries, to specialty burgers, to dynamic dishes and signature beer and wine pairing dinners.

Our desires are also to change the status quo for compensation. Labor is a derivative of revenue, and if we can do more with fewer people then our team will receive higher compensation for their competency and talents.

A Pastry Chef bakes various desserts with our company’s restaurant or bakery. The main duties include: following recipes to create pastries, cookies, and other baked goods, developing new and unique recipes to feature on the menu, and keeping stock of the kitchen’s inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and manage the pastry section in our company, working together with the other chefs.
Prepare a variety of baked goods.
Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way.
Monitor and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
Meet with customers to discuss custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions.
Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adhere to health and safety regulations.
Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel, and train them.
Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends.
