Your day.

As a Patient Access Representative you need to know how to:

Introduces and greets patient in a prompt and pleasant manner

Register patients in a prompt, pleasant manner; verify and record necessary demographic information

Express thoughts clearly and concisely (verbal and written)

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served

Verify insurance and method of payment, collects fees, co-payment, and payments on account

Self Direct, motivate and function successfully in a team environment

Answers telephones, directs calls, takes clear and concise messages, provide information, and screen referrals as needed

Responsible for the complete and accurate gathering and system inputting of patient demographic, insurance, and financial information with regard to specific age of patients (adolescent, pediatric, or their surrogate decision makers)

Schedule and confirm appointments, distribute daily and updated schedules to providers and staff.

Your experience.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

2 years of experience in outpatient or other healthcare environment, preferred

Experience with PC software applications in word processing, EPIC, Word, Excel, Google; preferred
