Job Description : A leading produce company committed to promoting healthy living and wellness by providing customers with the highest quality Non-GMO produce is in need of a Plant Manager.

The Plant Manager is responsible for the entire operation of the manufacturing plant. This includes the management and coordination of daily activities to ensure high performance and efficient maximization of production output at all times. The Plant Manager will develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring that customer expectations are met or exceeded.

This opportunity is located near Yuma, CO.

Benefits for the Plant Manager / Manufacturing Operations Manager position include:

Starting Salary: $115k – $125k a year DOE

This is a “direct hire” opportunity and not a “temp” or “contract” position.
Responsibilities for the Plant Manager / Manufacturing Operations Manager position include:

Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectations
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
Lead manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, facilities, continuous improvement, and planning functions to deliver business performance and best in class products and services to customers.
Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
Drive performance and accountability. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime. Create methods and metrics for measuring performance.
Commit to plant safety procedures
Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Create and lead a culture of continuous improvement including methods and tools, behaviors and problem solving
Develop annual financial plans to support continuous growth and cost improvements. This includes developing justifications and plans for investments in training, staffing, and capital equipment.
Coordinates and directs major projects such as expansion, acquisition and installation of equipment, major repairs, plant layout changes, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe plant.
Qualifications for the Plant Manager / Manufacturing Operations Manager position include:

Bachelors degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Business, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
8-10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least four (4) years of management experience is required. Prefer previous produce experience
Strong management, leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
A minimum of intermediate level Microsoft Office skills, advanced level preferred.
Mechanically inclined with strong problem solving skills.
Hands on, walk around plant floor management style.
Ability to effectively communicate with, relate to, and motivate all employees.
