Job Description : We are looking to hire a process improvement coordinator to work closely with the Technical Service Department manager to assist with process improvements. You will be mainly responsible for assisting in implementing process strategies, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents updated for the complete units produced and maintained for SciCan. Ultimately, your job is to assist with improving the efficiency of the Technical Service Department to reduce customer equipment down time and boost repair production efficiency.The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, excellent technical skills, and high-level computer and analytical skills.Core Competencies: · excellent oral and written communication skills.· proficiency in English, both verbal and written.· excellent listening and understanding skills.· strong organizing skills.· attention to detail.· strong problem solving/decision making ability.· team player.· time management.· proven project management knowledge and expertise.Responsibilities: Meeting with service manager to assess existing processes.· Collect data, assess processes, and interpret dataThe candidate would be responsible to identify the critical process parameters, own the data, develop baseline metrics and/or a dashboard of the process, and using the critical process parameters drive a reduction in either process time and cost or improve quality and yield.· Oversee the implementation of new processes and procedures· Suggest, contribute, and champion initiatives to improve the Technical Department’s operations and procedures· Provide/created or update process documentation and operating instructions· Write detailed procedures in a manner that technicians can follow· Monitor performance and report accurate dataPerforming optimization tests· Other duties as assigned by the department’s managerRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Process, or Industrial Engineering)Advanced technical skills.Analytical thinker.Ability to project manage.Basic manufacturing/electrical systems knowledgeFull MS Office, SAP, QMS (Q-Pulse preferable), Acrobat.Knowledge of web-based coding that will enable to learn in-house software.Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include: Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.Duties may require periods of sitting, standing and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor, units in service, or other detailed data.Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, basic electrical equipment, etc.)Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
