What is it like to work as Procurement Representative?

As a Procurement Representative, you will source, negotiate, and purchase all manner of electrical components, including Connectors, Capacitors, Resistors, Integrated Circuits, and Printed Wiring Boards.

What will you be working on?

You will compile and analyze statistical data to determine the feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives

You will evaluate areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions and monitor the performance of suppliers

You will track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes as well as negotiate with suppliers and analyze suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules

Who will you collaborate with?

You will work with a team of talented engineers to oversee activities throughout the facility and assist in the development of new projects and changes.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters’s degree.
1+ Year experience in, or exposure to supply chain management.This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

Supply Chain or a related discipline Bachelors degree from an accredited collegeExperience with SAP P2P or similar ERP Software,Ability to perform as a team player with other Buyers as well as interacting with all levels of management and support personnel,Ability to maintain objectivity while performing multiple tasks while under pressure to meet customer requirements; self-motivated; takes initiative,Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills,Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities,Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions,Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel.Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.
