Position : Production Manager
Job Description : Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of management, interpersonal skills, strong personal and professional judgment, adaptability, and organizational skills.
You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. Your ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
Oversee Sovereign production employees across three (3) shifts
Provide employee leadership through planning, coaching, training, and problem resolution—product and personnel—as needed.
Manage material, fiscal, and personnel resources to support and sustain high levels of quality and on-time production operations.
Long term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals.
Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market.
Maintain compliance to regulatory and international standards in production.
Monitor and manage high levels of customer and employee satisfaction.
Oversee continual efforts to improve operational efficiencies and improvements.
Ensure the safety and protection of company personnel, materials, and equipment.
Participates in employee reviews.
Lead team of people in execution of daily production tasks, work scheduling, training, maintenance, and continuous improvement
Troubleshooting to maintain quality and maximum product output
Perform problem-solving to develop corrective actions for customer issues to initiate continuous improvement.
Coordinate tooling and equipment availability, repair, and maintenance
Ensure cleanliness and maintains safe work environment within production floor
Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
Continuously and effectively work with the Purchaser, Scheduler/Accounts Manager to procure materials as well as produce and market Sovereign Plastic products, while striving for Operational Excellence
Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, and employees, and by enforcing ethical business practices.
Assist the company COO with company development through evolving sales and marketing strategies for new business.
Contribute to strategic plans that emphasize cutting-edge technology and financial opportunities.
Other duties as requested by SP management
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced education in business topics preferred
Demonstrated success with quality principles and procedures (Lean processes, 5s, Kaizen, etc.).
Between 5+ years of experience managing plastic injection molding operations.
Demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and electronic databases.
IQMS ERP Software preferred
Highly developed understanding and experience with appropriate regulations and standards (OSHA, ISO, SPI, etc.)
Leadership-Engages the workforce, builds team, promotes a high-performance culture, coaches, and develops team
Business Knowledge & Strategic Thinking-Understands the business and customers’ needs; demonstrates sound business judgment and decision-making; demonstrates critical and strategic thinking.

Collaboration- Builds and sustains effective relationships, influences for impact.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
