Position : Production Packaging Technician
Job Description : We are looking to hire a Production Packaging Technician.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Packaging:
Ensure a safe work environment.
Coordinates release of bright beer for packaging with brew/cellar/QC team.
Supervises all packaging operations of finished beer in cans and in kegs.
Maintains and ensures the highest quality beer is being packaged.
Coordinates maintenance on all packaging equipment to minimize downtime.
Monitor and report production efficiencies.
Strive to improve efficiencies in packaging both in terms of production capacity as well as controlling losses.
Create, maintain and update packaging SOPs.
Maintain overall cleanliness and operations of all packaging machinery.
Other as required; flexibility a necessity.
Shipping and Receiving:
Unload all delivery trucks; verify all incoming shipments are correct.
Collaborate with the sales staff based on the distributor shipping schedule.
Coordinate outgoing shipments.
General duties:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends as well as evening shifts.
Must be able to repeatedly lift 60 pounds and occasionally 165 pounds.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
Frequent walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crawling, and crouching during shift.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
The work environment consists of hot/cold, wet, loud, and unpredictable environment.
Proficiency with forklift and pallet jack usage.
Daily cellar inventory.
Monthly inventory report.
Inventory packaging materials and spare parts, requisition as needed.
Track and monitor usages.
Perform all necessary recordkeeping.
Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the brewery in a “tour ready” state on a daily basis.
