Job Description
Microchip is hiring ON ALL SHIFTS at our facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado! Job Responsibilities:

You will learn to operate the machines (or “tools”) that manufacture silicon wafers to make computer chips – microcontrollers and other embedded control products.
You will learn to check and qualify tools and run engineering experiments to ensure that equipment and processes are running within specified limits.
Develop the knowledge and expertise to help your work area team meet production goals.
Communicate to the appropriate people when equipment and processes do not meet specified limits or are not working properly.
Learn the essential protocol for the cleanroom including the “bunny suit” requirements.
Work 12-hour shifts, alternating between 3 shifts per week and 4 shifts per week.

Pay Range:
$17.00 – $26.56 per hour. 18 percent shift differential added for night shifts

Job Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or prior work experience.
Proficiency in written and oral communication.
Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills.
These skills and abilities normally may be acquired through 12 years of general education or equivalent.
Interact with coworkers in a positive and productive way.
Willingness to participate in building a positive culture and contribute to a pleasant work area environment.
Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail.
Prior success working individually and in a team environment.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications for each piece of equipment.
Willingness to follow instructions and ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Availability to work a defined schedule as noted in the Job Description section
Adaptability to change.
Previous Fab production experience in a clean room environment is a plus but is not required.
Must Possess the ability to stand 75%, walk 15%, sit 10%. Must also be able to carry 20lbs and push 60 lbs.
