This is not a technical role . Please share with candidates that this team is looking for energetic, go-getters for this position, they need to be able to self-manage and identify how they can assist in the greater project lifecycle.Must Haves: Strong PowerPoint experienceStrong written/verbal communication skills. Can present eloquently to clients and coordinates meetings and action items for the project. Experience working with project tracking software (MS Project preferred)3+ Years of IT Project Coordination/Jr. Project Management for large projectsThe Level 1 Project Manager will: Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in the management of activities on various projects.Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration activities such as tracking, reporting, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, following up on action items, taking meeting minutes, updating project schedules using MS Project Online.Work collaboratively with other groups to ensure optimal integration as required.Assist in the creation of project artefacts, including scorecard updates, status reports, and provide input to management reportsPerform analysis using tools such as Excel.Assist project managers with day to day tasks.Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.Experience RequirementsAll roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS. Clearance levels are as follows: Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) level 2 for Project Manager (PM)/Business Analyst (BA)/Architects roles and OPP level 4 for technologist roles.Criteria 1: Project Management and Coordination SkillsCriteria 1 Points: 45 pointsCriteria 1 Details: * Demonstrated experience in I&IT project management.Experience creating and maintaining project management artefacts/project collaterals, such as project schedules, risk, issue & action logs, briefing notes, status updates & reports.Experience with meeting facilitation, meeting minute creation, action item tracking & follow-ups.Experience working with both the business and technology teams.Demonstrated experience in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Criteria 2: Communication and Relationship ManagementCriteria 2 Points: 30 pointsCriteria 2 Details: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience developing & presenting briefing notes, status reports, project communications, team & executive presentations.Solid interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide variety of technical and business stakeholders.Excellent facilitation skills and consultative skills.Criteria 3: Analytical & Problem-solving skills Criteria 3 Points: 25 pointsCriteria 3 Details: * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.A team player with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlinesExperience reviewing and ensuring submitted documentation is complete and accurate.Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractSalary: $65.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:PowerPoint, Visio: 5 years (preferred)project schedule, project tracking, MS Project: 5 years (preferred)Ontario government: 5 years (preferred)project management: 3 years (preferred)
