Job Description : Palmer is seeking to hire a Proposal Coordinator to support our rapidly growing Infrastructure, Land Development and Aggregate business lines in Ontario. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team of professionals that include terrestrial and aquatic ecologists, geomorphologists, hydrogeologists, water resource engineers, environmental scientists, and geotechnical engineers to work in a dynamic and collaborative work environment on multi-disciplinary projects.The Proposal Coordinator would provide support to our sales teams through proposal coordination, RFP research, proposal tracking and document preparation. Other opportunities include the potential for occasional field work support, report preparation and formatting, and the coordination of project work. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively between Palmer’s technical sales leads and senior staff to prepare multi-disciplinary proposals for ecology, hydrogeology, engineering, and environmental opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, time management skills and must be outcome-oriented.Responsibilities will include: · Review and analyze proposal requests to identify key elements relevant to the Palmer team· Lead and prioritize the preparation of proposal documents· Maintain a master proposal tracking database for Infrastructure, Land Development and Aggregate proposals & bids that records proposal submission status and results· Coordinate with sales leads, senior technical staff and subconsultants to compile corporate information, technical submissions and write, edit and produce proposal documents· Ability to balance the workload of multiple proposals with hard deadlines while maintaining attention to detail· Exceptional inter-personal skills to work with our staff, clients, and consulting partnersQualifications:· Diploma or degree in Environmental Sciences/ Studies, Geography or Engineering· Experience working with an environmental or engineering consulting firm in the Ontario market a plus· Experience with scientific terminology, proposal/ competitive RFP processes, and technical writing· Experience in preparing proposal documentation, including technical work plans and budgets· Flexibility to occasionally work overtime to meet proposal deadlines· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills· Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skillsWhat do we offer at Palmer?We understand the importance of flexibility, autonomy, work-life balance and job satisfaction.
