Position : PURCHASING DIRECTOR
Job Description : Summary
The Purchasing Director is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of food, beverage, rooms, engineering, and other items at the best price. This position will also manage receiving of orders and packages, tracking, and inspection of all incoming items for quality and accuracy, processing invoices, creating purchase orders, updating/adding vendors and system users in Birchstreet. Other duties to include filling requisitions, receiving product, and completing inventory for items in the storeroom area, including food storeroom and packaging area. This position will be responsible for tracking food cost by food and beverage outlet and will also be responsible for managing computerized food requisition system.

Qualifications
Previous purchasing or procurement experience required; preferably in a hotel or high volume food & beverage establishment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate understanding of food & beverage cost control, managing/controlling inventories, requisitions, receiving deliveries, and package shipping.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office, Birchstreet, Oracle, Opera, and Markview is recommended. Candidates should be able to multitask and have good communication skills, detail orientation and organizational skills. Candidates must also have a strong desire and be able to provide exceptional customer service.
This position requires open schedule availability; which will include weekends and holidays. As well as a considerable amount of walking; the ability to lift, push and carry moderate to heavy amounts of weight on a consistent basis.

Salary range for this position is $57,800 – $86,800
