Job Description : The QC Assistant works cross-functionally with the QA Manager and Warehouse Manager ensuring products meet the quality standards and requirements of the company and its customers. To proactively provide support to QA Manager, and assist with the implementation, monitoring and follow-up of quality assurance strategies and programs in all aspects.PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & OBJECTIVESFirst production inspection – Coordinate with warehouse to stage and assemble parts as required for review and inspectionConduct warehouse inspection of 1st production parts and reporting in Qarma application and QA manager. Assist in investigation as necessary and communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgencyInitial claims investigation – Inspection of stock part to establish the magnitude of the issue.Review products for conformance after the corrective action has been implementedWork closely with claims and product development dept concerning quality discrepancies and provide feedback in support of preventive and corrective action activitiesCoordinate rework process of products in quarantineInitial review of Qarma inspection reports for production parts if requiredIdentify areas for quality control improvement and suggest new methodsOther responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned by QA ManagerKEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEAbility to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgencyAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPointStrong attention to detailExperience working in Quality Assurance / Quality ControlExcellent analytical, problem-solving skillsLift up to 30 lbs repetitively (parts vary in size)Walk, stand, and/or sit for an entire shiftAbility to work independently and in a teamJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $20.00-$22.00 per hourBenefits:Dental careExtended health carePaid time offRRSP matchVision careSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Toronto, ON M1V 4Z5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
