Job Description : JOB SUMMARY:The Quality Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Quality department. He/she will plan, direct, and perform quality assurance activities necessary to ensure product compliance with specifications and contract requirements. Responsible for developing quality assurance program plans, in-process inspection techniques, equipment, and facilities at various stages of the manufacturing process to verify product characteristics.JOB RESPONSIBILITY:Controlling, maintaining, and managing the Quality Management SystemAS9100C certificationManage, create, and modify a total quality program – charting strategic quality initiatives,Develop & incorporate procedures as necessaryDocument ControlGaining new process approvals as necessaryManage internal audit program and leads Koss team during external auditsManage customer quality programs, supplier quality audit initiatives, resolve customer complaints, perform contract reviewsCoordinate and manage customer auditsLiaise with suppliers in regards to parts and customers for a wide variety of quality-related issuesSupplier approval processCorrective & Preventative action programsEnsure maximum quality standards at minimal costMaintain proper documentation, lead and coordinate, develop, write, edit, and maintain all quality documentsDirect, support, review and supervise quality assurance & quality control personnelEnsure quality procedures and safety measures are followed by all employeesMRBHas organizational freedom and unrestricted access to top management to resolve quality management issues.Has authority to pass or fail product at any stage of manufacturing.Has authority to pass or fail products/materials received from customers and suppliers.Has authority to pass or fail calibration of instruments and equipment.Has authority to authorize Certificates of Conformance for products.Has authority to extend the period of calibration pass the prescribed instruments interval as appropriate depending on the frequency of use.Has the authority to schedule all Quality assurance activities and assign/delegate work to all Quality personnel.EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION:Must have a minimum college diploma of any engineering discipline or equivalent with experience.Must be well versed in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language.Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience managing people in a metrology laboratory environment.Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working with Quality Assurance methods including AS9102 FAI’s or equivalent from other industries, First Offs, in-process and final inspection as well as all other ISO9001 standards practices.Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a metrology inspector.Must have a solid background with the use and applications of Coordinate Measuring Machines.Must possess sound Knowledge of AS9100 Internal Auditing or equivalent with experienceJob Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:Bonus payBenefits:Dental careDisability insuranceExtended health careLife insurancePaid time offVision careSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience:quality assurance methods: 5 years (preferred)Aerospace: 1 year (preferred)
