Position : Recreation Specialist – Aquatics
Job Description : Do you want to enhance the quality of life and well-being of residents by ensuring quality aquatics programs? The Aquatics Division of the Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Recreation Specialist. This position organizes and coordinates aquatic programs and sites. Employees in this classification perform administrative and supervisory level work. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, directing and evaluating a diverse range of recreation activities and events, and leading activities. Work is performed under general supervision of the Aquatic Supervisor. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.
Qualifications generally include a High School Diploma or GED equivalent; supplemented by up to two (2) year professional experience in the aquatic field that provides broad knowledge of all facets of public recreation and available community resources, to include experience in the administrative aspects of the work; or any equivalent combination. A valid Colorado Driver’s License is required.

CPR and First Aid Training CertificateAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor CertificationAmerican Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor CertificationWSI CertificationCPO, AFO CertificationDisease Transmission Prevention CertificateUniversal Precautions Training
