Providence is calling a Registrar (Patient Registration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
$1,500 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

In this position you will:
Create a consistent and exceptional patient experience throughout the patient interview process
Assess patient ability to complete the admission process prior to receiving services or going to their hospital rooms; in some instances, may require bedside registration
Alert clinical staff if patients need immediate attention
Ensure patients are registered in a timely manner, ensuring accounts are complete, compliant, and billable and do not require rework or intervention
Provide armbands in a timely manner and verifies all information on the armband with patient to ensure accuracy
Request, collect and document co-pays from patients effectively and efficiently within EMTALA guidelines where applies
Escort and/or direct patient appropriately once registration completed
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year experience in customer service or healthcare registration
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Some college level course work preferred particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework.
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)
Demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology
Registrar and third party payor experience
