Job Title: Remote VP of Engineering

Job Location: 100% REMOTE – our HQ is in Scottsdale, AZ

Compensation: $250K+ base Depending on Experience plus significant equity

We are a rapidly growing healthcare technology Series-A start-up with 40 employees that’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal, ESPN, Slate, The NY Times, NPR and many other leading publications! Our easy to use mobile applications empower our partners to accurately and efficiently collect information from their patients anywhere at any time. Speech, fine motor and linguistic samples are automatically uploaded to our HIPAA-compliant secure cloud server where our AI engine analyzes each sample for finite but clinically relevant information and delivers results in real-time.

What You Will Be Doing

Creating and implementing technology strategies that align with our business goals
Managing our software engineering & data analytics teams of 15-20 total people comprised of server, web, mobile (iOS/Android) and DevOps engineers, product managers, testers, and data quality associates
Directing the design, development, and maintenance of applications
Managing department productivity, quality of output, and cost of service; developing methods to improve results
Complying with our quality management system
Discovering and implementing new technologies that yield competitive advantage
Maintaining close contact with representatives of firms providing data processing hardware, software, and support service
Collaborating with the leadership team to understand their technology needs
Communicating technology strategy to partners and investors

What You Need for this Position

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar with 7+ years of experience with the following:

Executive Technology leadership experience as a CTO / VP of Engineering or similar for a small software start-up product company
Experience hiring & managing software development teams (web, server, mobile (iOS/Android), DevOps, testers, product managers, data analytics etc.)
Experience creating standards and processes for coding, code management, testing, and security
Experience communicating technology strategy to partners and investors
