Job Description : Job SummaryThe Repair Production Coordinator Creates shop schedules for multiple projects, understands repair process time and materials designated to the projects.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains a daily Work in Progress tracking devices that communicates progress and delivery expectations to both employees and management.
Notify Shipping & Receiving department to set up freight (supply freight dimensions & date)
Works with the Repair Center Manager, Account Managers, and Project Manager(s) on scheduling machine tooling requirements, manpower and supplies/consumables required for each project.
Must be able to read and understand basic prints/drawings to ensure accuracy of work performed.
Works directly with the Repair Center Manager and Project Manager(s) on project management of shop repairs.
Compile data to create variance reports, lessons learned documents, and other tracking tools.
Ensures that resources, materials etc. are available and/or scheduled to carry out the work creates purchase requisitions and interfaces with purchasing group to ensure timely delivery of materials & parts per the required schedule.
Creates and maintain job packets or travelers; including drawings and job scope information, contact lists, schedules, manpower, equipment, tools, etc. for shop use.
Owns Repair Shop Log and turns in timesheets on a daily basis after supervisor sign off.
Responsible for notifying the Repair Center Manger and Project Manager(s) of potential increases in scope and price of projects as they are being processed.
Responsible for compiling work scopes, QC documents, and other documentation related to repairs and ensuring said documents are filed in both hard copy and digital formats.
Responsible for updating and tracking project progress and cost.
Schedules all production for the shop with collaboration from manager, supervisor, to meet customer deadlines.
Runs weekly production meetings with management, PM’s, engineers, and supervisor to collaborate on all REP jobs internal and externally.
Gives Purchasing all shipping info so proper documentation is prepared.
Provides Estimated Billings and updates monthly for REP
Runs all REP reports for Tear Down & Inspection (TDI) costs.
Gathers and processes information for monthly closing reports for all REP jobs external and internal
Investigates gross margin results that are out of approved range and report findings to manager
Develops worksheets for costs as required.
Prepares journal entries to move or apply expenses (Freight, Airgas consumables, P-Card)
Updates Work In Process (WIP) report
Keeps track of inventory – welding material, Babbitt, toolroom items etc.
Works in collaboration with the local estimating team and receives their customer quotes (possible future jobs) for work planning simulations.
Once quotes are approved the job is moved to the next level in SAP (Sales Order & Service Order & Production Order). Both are entered following established procedures. Service order set-up may include the following: importing a task list which has pre-defined fields for labor, entering estimated costs for cost collection/later margin analysis, fields for consumables, labor hours, and other expenses from information provided about the job form provided worksheet.
Requests, researches and evaluates quotations to purchase materials and components from suppliers for goods needed for jobs awarded.
Submits form with supplier quote to Procurement to create Purchase Order for goods needed.
Follows up with vendors to assure delivery dates will be met
Reviews quotes pricing and inquires/negotiates as needed to insure lowest cost levels
Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Business preferred.
3-5 years of experience in repair or manufacturing industry.
1-2 years of experience with SAP software.
1-2 years of experience as a Supervisor or Project Manager or Engineer.
General understanding of technical drawings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft Project).
Skills and Abilities
Professionalism and a positive attitude are required.
Self-motivated, self-starter, multi-tasker.
Must have excellent negotiation and communications skills.
Ability to track multiple projects and coordinate with supervisor’s needs.
Must have a talent for working with other people effectively including fellow employees, customers, contractors & effective communication skills
Valid Driver’s license.
