Our reputation is for strategic thinking that results in high-quality research that meets the needs of our clients, payers, and health technology assessment and regulatory agencies.We are currently seeking candidates with a graduate Science degree (Health Sciences, Pharmacology, Epidemiology, etc.) with strong analytical and writing skills to conduct Health Economic, Comparative Effectiveness, Outcomes and Market Access research. The position will support global health economic and market access activities for medical device and pharmaceutical products.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the health/life sciences, the ability to problem solve, and experience with literature reviews, scientific writing, and Excel. Experience in health economics, market access, programming, and medical writing are assets but not required. These positions will provide the candidates with an opportunity to grow within a company that is an established leader.ResponsibilitiesSupport or conduct the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of health economic projects and strategic market access studies for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients:Review literature on the epidemiology, physiology, burden of illness, and efficacy and safety of treatments for a wide range of medical conditionsConduct structured and/or systematic literature reviews, including defining research questions, screening articles, and abstracting dataDevelop technical reports, summary slide decks, and manuscripts for publicationDevelop clinical summaries, product dossiers and value messagesSupport or conduct cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact analyses, and cost-of-illness studies, including programming models using Excel/VBAConduct indirect treatment comparisons (e.g., meta-analyses)Conduct submissions to CADTH, NICE and other regional payersConduct treatment landscape assessmentsQualificationsAdvanced degree in the health/life sciences (e.g., biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, epidemiology), health economics or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 1-2 years of relevant experienceAbility to synthesize information from a body of literature and analyze quantitative dataStrong interest in and/or knowledge of the health care/pharmaceutical industry, market access, health economics, epidemiology, cost-effectiveness modeling, and/or medical writingDemonstrated problem-solving, analytical-reasoning, and decision-making skillsAbility to multi-task, manage time, and adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesSense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives, and deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsDemonstrated initiative and accountabilityExpertise in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).Useful SkillsExperience in the conduct of systematic reviews, statistics, and/or health technology assessmentsFamiliarity with decision-analytic modelingExpertise in Excel VBA, R, and/or other modeling languagesTo apply, please include: (1) your resume/CV(2) a cover letter(3) a copy of your post-secondary transcript(s) (unofficial, online version is fine).Applications without all three items may be excluded from considerationOnly candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
