Job Description : (Note: this is a live-in position in an all female facility. Due to industry recognized best practices, house manager must identify as female. Sexual orientation, race, religion, national origin are not disqualifications)
The Residential Sober Living House Manager and Mentor will monitor sober living house clients, communicate and document all occurrences, and help to provide a safe, caring environment in which the clients can recover. Our treatments include sex addiction, process addictions, mental health and co-occurring disorders, trauma treatment, LGBTQ issues and others. This position spends more direct time with the clients than any other positions within the company, and as such, are lead role models in helping the clients to rebuild new lives in a sober living setting. This position requires maintaining a positive and productive attitude. Residence at our executive sober living facility is one of the benefits of the position.

Work Environment: Recovery Living Residence

Employment Type: Part-time residential position with benefits.

Position Overview: The House Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide a secure environment for clients that are committed to sobriety and recovery, and receiving treatment. In addition to this, the position is responsible for housing operations support including life skills development, logistics and coordination of client needs and facility maintenance.
Education: High School Diploma Preferred

Training & Experience:
Previous experience with substance abuse treatment is preferred; preferred experience with a treatment facility, and/or intensive outpatient (“IOP) settings
Ideal candidate has personal recovery experience with a substantial amount of sobriety
Duties & Responsibilities of the Position
Develop and maintain supportive community for recovering women
Orient newly arrived residents to house community and rules
Verbally support and mentor residents about their recovery experience
Communicate regularly with clinical team
Manage relapse situations with the assistance of clinical team
Maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients, families, referral agencies, neighbors and other community resources
Written Record Keeping/Documentation
Administer supervised drug screenings to residents using a breathalyzer and urine test
Prepare rooms/living area for new residents – including but not limited to laundry, bedding, and cleaning refrigerator
Plan, organize, and lead recreation activities
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications /Skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Self-motivated and self-directed
Professional and/or personal experience with substance abuse treatment highly preferred
Knowledge of sober/ recovery community resources, behavioral health programming, crisis intervention
Working knowledge of how to perform supervised urine drug screen collections including administering breathalyzer tests
Compensation
Compensation is room and board (no food) at our Tenley House location, a $250 a month stipend, plus opportunities to earn extra money for mentoring residents at $25 an hour, as well as potentially other opportunities to make money providing various services.
