Position : Roadway Code Enforcement Officer
Job Description : Job Purpose
Under general direction, this position performs a variety of duties involved in the enforcement and communication of City roadway policies and ordinances. The position is primarily responsible for street opening compliance, site obstructions, sidewalk compliance and sidewalk snow/ice removal. The position will also be responsible to update maps using GIS that supports the Transportation Systems Department. Work Schedule
This position will normally work Monday – Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, but may be required to work outside of those hours for meetings or emergency situations. License and/or Certificate Requirements
Must possess a valid driver”s license with acceptable driving record at the time of hire and have the ability to obtain a valid MT driver”s license within six months of hire. Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor”s degree from an accredited college or university and or equivalent experience. The position also requires three years of experience in each of the following areas: Experience involving a high level of public contact including some experience dealing with the public in an enforcement, inspection, investigation, or customer service capacity; and dealing with people in very sensitive and often times unpleasant situations. Desired experience includes customer service and knowledge of municipal codes. Other relevant combinations of education and work experience may be evaluated on an individual basis.
