Your day.
As a Patient Safety Attendant with us, you will know how to:
Observe patient behavior and maintains patient safety.
Maintain an uninterrupted line of sight with the patient and will be required to assist the patient in completion of daily personal care.
Reports any and all activity outside of established parameters to the Nurse Manager, Professional Registered Nurse, or delegated Licensed Practical Nurse.
Obtain report from the assigned nurse or from the current sitter. Remain with the patient until relieved for breaks, meals and shift change.
Accompany patient to other departments when patient is scheduled for tests/treatments.
Notify the patient’s assigned nurse of any change in patient’s mental status or condition immediately. Notify the nurse of any safety concerns.
Orientate patient on use of call bell, bed controls, phone, lights and bathroom.
Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need. 11. May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Your experience.

High School Diploma or GED is required
Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (with prior approval), required
Preferred:
At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred
