Job Description : School Bus DispatcherStarting pay $15.50-$16.50Job Summary: Coordinates and completes tasks that promote safety and enhance operational efficiency through a continuous improvement mindset. Provides tools for staff to integrate and further improve judgment, knowledge, skills, and techniques. Provide a wide variety of support and customer service tasks within the location. Ability to serve as a substitute school bus driver when needed.Job Summary: Coordinates and completes tasks that promote safety and enhance operational efficiency through a continuous improvement mindset. Provides tools for staff to integrate and further improve judgment, knowledge, skills, and techniques. Provide a wide variety of support and customer service tasks within the location. Ability to serve as a substitute school bus driver when needed.Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Answers the phone for transportation, takes messages and serves as first line of contact for parents, general public, vendors and city/state/county officials and others.2. Responsible for assisting the operation with customer service. This includes answering customer inquiries, answering incoming calls, working with customers at our location and ensuring that all customers are treated based on the Company’s acceptable guidelines.3. Assist with tracking and processing billing/payroll.4. Monitor and communicate effectively through two-way radios and telephones.5. Maintain bus routes and student data in routing program; monitor, update and ensure the accuracy of all system data.6. Respond to parent and student transportation questions.7. Utilize integrated routing software programs to establish and sustain routes to be as efficient as possible.8. Verifies accuracy of route times, stop times/ location are correct (route deviation).9. Run and complete various operation reports weekly or as needed.10.
