Job Summary: The instructional coach should be proficient in all areas of teaching and learning with an emphasis on professional practice. The coach will be responsible for consulting with and supporting the instructional teaching staff in using resources that impact student learning. The coach will provide support and professional learning to instructional staff as needed.
*Salary: Teacher salary is commensurate to education and teaching experience.
Education and/or Experience: Minimum requirement – Bachelor’s degree(B.A.) from four year college or university. Works well with a team, good communication skills, dependable.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Eligible or already in possession of a Colorado Teaching License/certificate endorsed in the area of assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with instructional staff in all areas of teaching and learning;
Coach, mentor, and teach adults;
Provide timely, thorough and high quality teaching and learning support during observation, coaching and mentoring;
Facilitate the design and implementation of instructional best practices in curriculum;
Collaborate with teachers to support their use of curricula through a variety of instructional methods;
Establish partnerships and serve as the ELL/GE liaison for families, administrator, teachers, support staff, and community;
Follow state and district guidelines, and perform all other duties as assigned.

Strong technology skills – current on new instructional technologies and their use in the classroom and willingness to continue to learn additional technologies
Effective interpersonal skills & relationship-building skills;
Extensive knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum and staff development;
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language;
Research, evaluate and communicate information to a variety of audiences;
Facilitate training, user groups, focus groups, and project teams;
Strong written and oral communication skills – Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of settings.

Supervisory Responsibilities: The employee supervises students in the class, parents and volunteers.

Language Skills: Ability to read and analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implements lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and community; ability to speak clear and concisely in written or oral communication.
