Job Description : Title: Courier DriverReports To: DispatcherTerritory: GTA, OntarioStatus: Part-time Independent ContractorPURPOSE: The Courier Driver is responsible for delivering small packages throughout the Greater Calgary area, efficiently and on time. The Courier Driver is flexible with working hours, owns a sedan, SUV or Minivan, and is physically capable of carrying out deliveries. Ensuring and exhibiting safe driving practices at all times, this position is comfortable with navigating a smartphone handheld. Other tasks include completing pre-and post-trip inspections, documenting daily mileage and gas usage.* Please note you must possess your own vehicle for this position.ACCOUNTABILITIES: Complete deliveries within specified and required time framesLoad and unload parcels into the vehicleAssist other drivers as needed and requestedComplete daily pre-and post-trip vehicle inspectionsMaintain cleanliness of company vehicleSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent customer service and attention to detailTime management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid Alberta Drivers LicenseUp to date Criminal Record CheckClean driving recordPrevious driving experience with deliveries is an assetWORKPLACE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess their own vehicleMust be insured with their own commercial insuranceMust possess an article of incorporationFlexible with schedule; must be available on weekendsPossess a smartphoneAble to adapt to a dynamic work environmentAccess to an email addressJob Types: Full-time, ContractSalary: $150.00 per day – $170.00 per dayJob Types: Part-time/Full-TimeJob Types: Part-time, Permanent, SeasonalSalary: $150.00-$170.00 per daySchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityApplication question(s):Please indicate your vehicle type?Experience:Delivery Driving: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:G Licence (required)
