Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY

Summer is here and the Bozeman Public Library is now recruiting for Short Term Workers for the Children’s Library! We are looking for candidates who can commit to assisting in the Children’s Room from June – August with some flexibility.

There are two positions available:
Position #1 will primarily work in the Children’s Room providing readers advisory. Knowledge of children’s and teen books, customer service skills, and ability to work with children/parents of all ages is required.

Position #2 will primarily assist the Children’s Library with Library programming/activities, preparing materials, setting up rooms and activities, and assisting children with projects, crafts, and other various activities. Must be able to work independently (with limited supervision), be a self-starter, and bring creativity to the programs.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position;
Some experience working with children is required;
Experience with children’s programming is desired, but not required.
