Job Description : As Social Media Specialist, you will support the company and the marketing team in planning, developing, and implementing overarching social media strategy to help and improve online presence, digital footprint, and overall digital marketing effectiveness.A brand storyteller, writer, editor and earned media relationship builder. The selected candidate will grow brand and campaign awareness across earned and social media channels supporting brand and campaign initiatives. The candidate will lead any influencers and earned media strategy with a clear vision to deliver a measurable increase in awareness, engagement, and word of mouth.Success in this role will be demonstrated by measured increases in sales and profitability stemming from increased website traffic and social media interactions.Duties and Responsibilities: Increase community engagement online & help curate our brand personaWork with our team to develop the story for our online presenceShoot and edit social media contentWork with applications engineers to create interesting product-related social media contentWork with commercial team to create educational webinarsBreak down and communicate technical topics that can be readily understoodCreates and executes a content calendar increasing engagement, providing suggestions on enhancing over the long term.Monitors campaign portfolio activation, pacing, and performance across all paid social platforms.Creates customized reports for internal stakeholders across all campaigns and platforms.Actively participates in training across multiple platforms. Evaluate and execute the implementation of emerging technology platforms.Creates and maintains relationships with the press and influencersDevelop, implement, and manage social media strategiesPrepares social media budgets, proposals, and presentationsPresents proposals and recommendations for all brands and platforms/channels.Expresses company vision clearly and maintains brand consistency on all social media channels.Help to define and measure the most important social media KPIs.Manages and oversees social media contentUse social media marketing toolsWork in a multidisciplinary team with the Marketing teamNetwork with industry professionals and influencers via social mediaProvide constructive feedback and input to improve company awareness and lead generationInternally support Corporate Communications and Company-wide Social Committee initiatives via Teams, SharePoint and other communication toolsQualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar roleExcellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practicesAbility to shoot and edit photography and video contentPractical understanding of SEO and web traffic metricsGood understanding of social media KPIsCritical thinker and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills.Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required.Proficient using Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.Proficient using Adobe products including Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesignSufficient mobility to perform a job successfully.Able and willing to travel and holds a valid Canadian PassportHolds a valid Ontario Auto Drivers LicenseJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience:Social Media Marketing: 3 years (preferred)shoot and edit photography and video c: 2 years (preferred)SEO and web traffic metrics: 3 years (preferred)social media KPIs: 3 years (preferred)
