Job Summary:
The Office Planner / Designer plans utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. Plans, coordinates, and allocates office space for all locations. Develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs. Formulates, recommends, and ensures building code compliance (NFPA, ADA, OSHA, local and national codes, maximum room occupancy, egress, aisle width, etc. with ability to research, interpret and implement said codes) with approved standards and policies relating to office space and furnishings. May provide liaison with owners of rented office space in matters relating to planning and execution of alterations/leasehold improvements, occupancy, and adherence to lease allowance and terms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for drawings, updating drawings for approx. 150,000 sq ft office buildings.
· Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of all aspects of space planning. Highly proficient to expert using AutoCAD 2019.
· Utilize computer assisted design/drafting equipment (AutoCAD 2019 software) to develop designs.
· Assists in costing jobs, i.e., block planning, conceptual drawings, etc.
· Interface with other employees, contractors, and other departments with whom they must work or share joint responsibilities.
· Monitor/maintain office furniture inventory in stock.
· Meet, coordinate, and oversee outside contractors/vendors to accomplish tasks.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline required, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience in architecture
· Highly skilled AutoCAD 2019 Advanced skills with Auto CAD 2019, 3D Model preferred.
· Valid driver’s license required in the state of Colorado
· Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified areas.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical and mechanical systems prints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Experience with project management and estimating.
