Job Description : Supply Chain Specialist Compensation Range: $55,000-$75,000/yr

Our products are exclusive and delicious, delivering a combination of homemade quality, great taste, convenience, and value. We have been in the market for just over a year and now have distribution in over 4,500 grocery store locations including Kroger, Costco, H-E-B, Meijer, and Albertsons. We also donate 1% of our sandwiches to help address food insecurity amongst school-aged kids.

Position summary
As supply chain specialist, you will support the design and lead the execution of our logistics strategy, develop and manage supplier relationships, manage inbound, outbound, and warehousing logistics, and support procurement with sourcing raw materials and operational inputs. Position will be approx. 75% logistics, 25% purchasing and will be based at our corporate headquarters which is co-located with our manufacturing facility.
Primary responsibilities
1. Inbound & outbound logistics

Orchestrate all inbound and outbound shipment activity by coordinating between suppliers, warehousing partners, transportation providers, and end customers to ensure goods are shipped and received on time and in full and without complication
Evaluate, on an ongoing basis, the most cost-effective and reliable shipping option for each inbound customer order
Develop new outbound shipping strategies to reduce transportation costs and improve reliability
Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers

2. Inventory management

Maintain real-time records of all raw material inventory on hand
Maintain real-time records of all finished goods inventory on hand
Collect/manage inventory data from warehousing partners
Drive cross-functional efforts to work with sales team on shipping schedules and needs

3. Purchasing activities (secondary responsibilities)

Support development of purchasing strategies
Support execution of purchasing processes which may include issuing purchase orders, reconciling purchase orders against receiving documents and supplier invoices, and keeping track of credits and refunds
Manage raw material documentation for traceability purposes

Skills/Qualifications/Education:

2-5 years experience as a supply chain specialist
B.A. degree in Supply Chain or other relevant field required
Entrepreneurial and excited to be a part of building a great packaged food business
Experience in packaged food or beverage preferred
Interest in evaluating market dynamics and strategy development
Effective negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather, analyze, and report data to improve decision making
Highly structured and planful
Strong problem-solving skills
Positive, friendly, get things done attitude while still having fun!
Willing and able to wear “different hats”

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
