Job Description : GFL Environmental is actively recruiting for a fully remote System Analyst, Fleet Maintenance! The System Analyst, Fleet Maintenance is responsible for the implementation and support of a variety of specialized applications in a high-availability, geographically diverse environment as part of the Fleet Maintenance team. The candidate will be supporting mission-critical SQL based client-server or Web based ERP/operational software packages for local and remote users. The candidate will apply critical thinking in supporting and delivering services to a constantly evolving business and technical landscape. Strong relationships will be established with IT and process stakeholders to understand support requirements how the supported systems are used.Key Responsibilities:Assist in Implementation, upgrade and configuration of enterprise-wide and departmental software systems in conjunction with IT and business operations resources.Accurate completion of projects based on agreed timelines and specifications.Collaborate with team members on application deployment & configuration and other application integration issues within IT and other departments.Investigate, identify, document and resolve application systems errors and security issues and work with vendors and other technical resources to resolve.Evaluate effectiveness of new system changes, testing and implementation of new systems and existing system modifications.Administer routine and non-routine procedures for application use and security access; monitors KPIs and gathers performance metrics for the systems assigned.Ability to provide user trainingKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:3 – 5 years working with process/functional owners and providing 2nd level operational support for large business applications.Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt; to understand business usage of the system and make suggestions for improvement.Strong knowledge of change control procedures.Self-starter and results driven. Able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner, with minimum guidance or prompting. Proactive, dependable and positive attitude.Solid SQL querying experience.Flexibility to provide after-hours support. Experience supporting remote locations in multiple time zones is an asset.Post-Secondary degree, diploma or equivalent experienceHigh aptitude in business analysis, integration, testing, data management, and end-to-end process facilitationGood understanding of the concepts of Databases and Systems integration.Introductory knowledge of Fleet maintenance, Inventory management, and Work OrdersA Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems (IIS, Active Directory, Citrix)A solid understanding networking fundamentalsExcellent Excel and data manipulation skillsExperience in supporting application Hardware peripherals like Barcode Printers and TabletsBonus SkillsExperience in TMT/TMW Suite/Assetworks M5”/Geotab/SOTI/Fleetmind/Ivanti/Dossier/ softwareFrench/Spanish language skillsAbility/Willingness to travel anywhere in North America at short noticeWe thank you for your interest.
