Position : Talent Management Specialist – Recruiter (2 positions)
Job Description : This position will collaborate with University employees, managers, and leadership to provide a full range of talent management and recruitment functions including resume screening, recruitment strategies, hiring processes, and retention efforts. This position will collaborate with hiring managers and departments on effective ways to hire talent and effectively post positions to optimize candidate pools. Position will have responsibility for the full range of the Talent Management recruitment processes, but may have emphasis in any of the following areas – required qualification screening, recruitment strategy and development, screening processes, process/procedure development, state classified job evaluation and hiring, and reporting.

Duties/Responsibilities
80% – Recruitment
Collaborates with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
Creates and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, the organization’s DEI initiatives, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
Assists with advertisement processes, and campaigns.
Screens applications, screens resume banks, reviews LinkedIn profiles, emails/outreaches external community, connects with campus organizations.
Conducts interviews and oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring/selection materials. Attends interviews alongside managers, directors, and other stakeholders. Serves as a subject matter expert by providing best practices and guides business partners and hiring managers in the interview process.
Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
Recruiters are to ensure our company attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. Promotes MSU Denver as best places to work.
Ensures DEI is at the core of all of our recruitment, retention, and engagement practices and efforts.
Sources and recruits candidates by using databases, social media, and live events.
Provides analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection process
15% – HR Generalist duties
Position Management – Work with departments on job descriptions modification actions which may include determining qualifications. This includes reviewing required qualifications and preferred qualifications to ensure they match the position and helping hiring managers create compelling job descriptions to attract desired candidate pools. Review positions for FLSA designation.
ATS Management and Optimization – Facilitate applicant tracking system training users, managing workflow functions, and creating reports as necessary. ATS management will also include corresponding with applicants.
Compliance – Manage various projects in Human Resources. This will include creating the scope and timeline for various HR projects that effect the entire HR operation. This will include the FLSA project, background check process and policy, and personal service contract and PO process. Also included will be performing audits to ensure we are in compliance with various regulations and laws. These would include I-9, immigration, pay practices, HLC transcript, and OFCCP compliance etc.
5% – Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Previous experience as a recruiter or in a related HR role
Previous experience managing multiple projects, priorities and time sensitive deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in a Human Resources office in Higher Education.
Experience analyzing and evaluating job content and writing effective job descriptions.
Previous experience managing hiring functions.
Experience with social media tools for candidate outreach and recruiting.
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage positions and hiring processes.
Experience gathering or analyzing statistical data and generate reports.
Work Hours
This is a 40 hour/week position.
M-F 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Occasional additional time may be necessary.
May be partially remote.
