The Role
We have an immediate need for a contract or part-time UI Designer. As part of our product delivery team, you’ll collaborate with developers, industrial designers, hardware engineers, project managers, and clients to create on-brand, user-centric digital experiences. This role is ideal for an experienced visual designer who is:

Minimum Criteria
In order to be considered for the role, applicants are required to meet the following minimum criteria:
Must be authorized to permanently work in United States
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Centered Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design or a related area.
Have worked as a professional visual designer for 5 or more years.
Be proficient in standard industry tools, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc.
Strong skills in UI design principles and best practices, including the impact of typography, layout and composition, color theory, grid, and use of photography and illustration.
Hands on experience creating wire frames, prototypes, user flows, implementing style guides, and effectively communicate your ideas using any of these methods.
How different tech stacks impact UI design.
Strong portfolio to be presented and reviewed/discussed during interview. · Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, etc.
Experience communicating with local and offshore suppliers.
Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Produce “pixel perfect” design files.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with many colleagues and stakeholders along a product lifecycle.
Leverage multiple human interface guidelines and stay current on version updates.
Favourable Criteria
Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered favourably:
Experience leading a design team in a consulting environment
Experience in developing user Interfaces for electronic products for space constrained, low power, high volume applications with high levels of mechanical integration
Understanding of basic front-end languages (HTML5, CSS3)

Pay: $80.00 – $100.00 per hour
